Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America have been rescheduled for 2-3 September 2020
Event organiser Elite Exhibitions said in a statement it has closely monitored updates on the spread of the coronavirus and its potential impact on Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America, originally scheduled to take place 16-17 June at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.
Due to imposed travel bans and restrictions relating to running events within Miami-Dade County, as well as feedback from the industry, the team has decided to postpone Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America.
Both events will now take place 2-3 September 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Regarding the date change, Elite Exhibitions chief executive Toby Walters said “The Elite Exhibitions team are dedicated to providing the premier meeting place for the entire interiors and hospitality community. I speak on behalf of my colleagues and the entire Advisory Board when I say that by postponing the event from June to September we are confident this global crisis will be behind us and we can come together as a community to discuss the methods and actions required which will protect our supply chains and the cruise industry as a whole.”
A statement explained that the show, which boasts an impressive advisory board made up of many senior figures within the cruise industry, has received “exceptional support” from the whole industry to move the shows to later in the year.
“We look forward to playing our part at Cruise Ship Interiors Expo in September, as an advisory board member we fully support these new dates,” MSC Cruises vice president newbuild Trevor Young said.
